ColActive Plus AG Collagen Powder
ColActive Plus AG Collagen Powder is a powder made from collagen, sodium alginate, silver chloride, carboxylmethlcellulose (CMC), and ethylenediaminetetraccetic acid (EDTA) that can be applied topically to fill and conform to irregularly shaped wounds, including tunneled wounds. It maintains a moist wound environment that aids in the formation of granulation tissue and epithelialization.
This unique formulation:
- Lowers select excess MMP activity better than the leading competitive collagen dressing
- Maintains wound pH levels that do not harm growth factors, plasma proteins and other cell types that are required for wound healing
- Contains EDTA, which has shown to be a potent inhibitor of biofilm formation and disruptor of mature biofilms
- 5% ionic silver in the formulation, providing broad spectrum antimicrobial activity to prevent colonization

How to Use ColActive Plus Ag Collagen Powder
- Prior to application of ColActive Plus AG Powder, prepare the wound bed by debriding as needed and irrigating with an appropriate wound cleanser or sterile water.
- For dry to low exuding wounds
- Use 6-10mL of saline to moisten the powder prior to or after application to the wound bed..
- Spread the moistened powder onto the wound bed, ensuring not to pack too tightly. Keep the periwound skin clean and dry.
- Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing. At dressing changes, cleanse the wound and reapply ColActive daily or as directed by healthcare professional.
- For moderate to high exuding wounds
- Apply the powder generously and directly to the wound bed
- Ensure coverage of any tunneled or undermined areas.
