Description
InterDry Moisture Wicking Cloth
InterDry® is a moisture-wicking antimicrobial fabric dressing formulated with silver designed to be applied to skin folds and other areas with regular skin-to-skin contact.
Once in place, InterDry® antimicrobial fabric dressings provide a moisture- and odor-management solution. Knit polyester absorbs perspiration and other secretions to help the skin stay dry and reduce friction, lessening the symptoms of intertrigo in the process, including lesions, itching, inflammation, maceration, denudement and erythema.
As well, these latex-free, disposable moisture-wicking fabric dressings can help with decreasing risks for pressure ulcers, erosion and skin tears.
How InterDry Moisture Wicking Cloth Works
Once applied, InterDry® antimicrobial silver fabric sheets:
- Assist with managing the complications associated with skin folds.
- Provide a solution to manage symptoms of intertriginous dermatitis, such as maceration, erythema, erosion, itching/burning sensations, odor and pain
- Keep the area dry throughout the day by absorbing and wicking away moisture.
- Utilize antimicrobial silver to provide anti-infection action for up to five days.
Can I wash Interdry? Coloplast, the product manufacturer, indicates that the product should not be washed.

How to Use InterDry Moisture Wicking Cloth
- Begin by washing the skin gently, ensuring you patting dry instead of rubbing.
- Employ clean scissors to cut an adequate piece of fabric that can cover the affected area. Allow for a minimum of 2 inches to extend beyond the skin fold to facilitate moisture evaporation.
- Lay a single layer of the fabric within the skin fold, positioning one edge at the base of the fold. Smoothly place the rest of the fabric over the skin, ensuring it remains flat.
- Maintain at least 2 inches of the fabric exposed outside the skin fold.
- Secure the fabric using one of several methods: attach it to the skin fold, use a small amount of skin-friendly tape, or tuck it under your clothing.
- Remember to remove the fabric before bathing, and keep in mind you can reuse it once you’ve finished.
- When removing the fabric, gently separate the skin fold and lift the fabric away.
