Solventum (Formerly 3M) Durapore™ Surgical Tape is a silk-like cloth tape in the High-strength Securement Class, for clinical jobs such as securing catheters and tubes and patient positioning.
Key Features
- Strong adhesion – good initial and long-term adhesion to dry skin
- Easy to use – tape can be torn lengthwise and crosswise to create a variety of sizes as needed
- Adheres to dry skin, tubes, devices, and itself
- Helps reudce risk: individually packaged single-use length rolls can help protect patients by reducing the risk of cross-contamination
- Not made with natural rubber latex
- Breathable
Uses
- Urinary catheters
- Nasogastric tubes
- Orogastric tubes
- Patient positioning
- Short-term securements of endotracheal tubes
- Securing splints and bulky dressing
- Supporting wrists and fingers
Not recommended for use when excessive fluids and/or secrections are present. Tape securement and tube position should be monitored routinely.
