ConvaFoam Adhesive Silicone Hydrofiber Foam Dressing
ConvaFoam Adhesive Silicone – the simple dressing choice for skin protection and wound management. For use on a spectrum of wound types at any stage of the wound journey, these dressings are made with AQUACEL Hydrofiber Technology to gel on contact and maintain a moist wound environment. ConvaFoam can be cut to aid application in difficult to dress areas and features patterned film for exudate monitoring with the dressing.

- Improved Adhesion – enhanced silicone, skin-friendly, breathable, adhesion. ConvaFoam is repositionable upon application to avoid wasted dressing changes and to maximize wear time.
- AQUACEL Hydrofiber Technology – superabsorbent fibers and AQUACEL combine to gel on contact with wound exudate. This creates a moist wound environment with vertical exudate wicking to reduce the risk of maceration. AQUACEL micro-contours to minimize dead space where bacteria can proliferate. Superabsorbent fibers increase the fluid handling capacity.
- Patterned Film – aids exudate monitoring. An improved pore construction enhances adhesion and absorption.
- Outer Film Layer – provides a showerproof barrier to viruses and bacteria. This layer also aids in the management of moisture vapor transmission of exudate absorbed by the dressing. Fragile and healthy skin are protected from moisture, shear, and friction damage.
- Can be cut to fit to fit any wound size and difficult-to-dress areas
- Used as a secondary dressing when biofilm likelihood is higher in combination with an antibiofilm primary dressing

How to Use ConvaFoam Adhesive Silicone Hydrofiber Foam Dressing
- Ensure the surrounding skin is free from creams and moisturizers that could prevent the dressing from sticking.
- Before applying, cleanse with a suitable wound cleanser and dry the surrounding skin. If a moisture barrier is required, select a spray or liquid that will dry before dressing appliacation.
- Choose an appropriate dressing size where the central absorbent pad is at least 1cm larger than the wound. If applying to intact skin, choose a dressing that covers the entire vulnerable area.
- Remove the dressing from the sterile pouch. Remove the release liner and avoid touching the adhesive surface.
- Hold the dressing over the wound or area of skin to be protected and line up the center of the dressing with the center of the wound/area. Ensure not to stretch the dressing during application.
- Smooth down the adhesive border. Ensure joints are sufficiently flexed to allow patient mobility.
- Use additional tape or film dressing to create a seal.
- To remove: ConvaFoam can be worn for up to 7 days. However, dressings should be changed earlier if clinically directed.
Contraindications and Precautions
- ConvaFoam dressings are not compatible with oxidizing agents such as hydrogen peroxide or hypochlorite solutions.
- ConvaFoam dressings should not be submerged during bathing or swimming.
- Store away from direct light. Keep dry.
