3M MicroFoam Surgical Tape

MicroFoam tape is suggested to be used to as a secondary securement to I.V. lines and tubing, catheters, pouches, and dressings. It can also be used when swelling or movement is anticipated.

MicroFoam tape is made with elastic closed-cell foam that provides a secure, all-direction stretch that conforms to the contours of the body. Hypoallergenic adhesive is used to attach easily to gauze and wound dressings.

MicroFoam tape can be applied directly to the skin without pulling or stretching. You will apply firm pressure to activate the adhesive and to fully contact the skin.

MicroFoam tape can be removed by stabilizing the skin with one finger at the peel line and continuously moving it along in the direction of hair growth as you pull back the tape. This helps support the skin during removal. Do not pull the tape perpendicular to the skin. If needed, you can use a medical-grade adhesive remover.
